'Won't let up': Lewis Hamilton speaks out after FIA 'disgrace'
Reigning Formula One drivers’ champion Lewis Hamilton has vowed he ‘won’t let up’ in his efforts to recognise racism and police brutality after the FIA confirmed it would not investigate his latest protest.
The six-time world champion wore a t-shirt bearing the slogan ‘Arrest the cops who murdered Breonna Taylor’ to the podium last weekend after winning the Tuscan GP.

Taylor, a 26-year-old black woman, was shot by police in Kentucky in March. She was a medical worker and was killed in her own home.
The FIA rules state that drivers are not to use advertising that is "political or religious in nature of that is prejudicial to the interests of the FIA" - prompting talk the sport’s governing body could launch an investigation into Hamilton.
This prompted an angry backlash from fans, who labelled the potential for an investigation a ‘disgrace’, after the FIA confirmed it was "under active consideration".
The governing body confirmed to the BBC on Wednesday that it would not pursue any investigation.
Shortly afterwards Hamilton posted on Instagram, thanking fans for their support and vowing to continue his advocacy.
“Want you to know I won't stop using this platform to shed light on what I believe is right,” Hamilton wrote in an Instagram story.
“I want to thank those of you who continue to support me and show love, I am so grateful.
“But this is a journey for us to come together and challenge the world on every level of injustice, not only racial.
“We can help make this a better place for our kids and future generations.”
Athletes bringing light to Breonna Taylor case
Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, the US Open champion, also brought Taylor's death to public attention when she wore a face mask with her name on it at the New York tournament.
"It took me a long time to get that shirt and I've been wanting to wear it and bring awareness to the fact that there's people that have been killed on the street and there's someone that got killed in her own house, and they're in the wrong house, and those guys are still walking free," said Hamilton after his 90th career victory on Sunday.
"We can't rest. We have to continue to raise awareness with it. And Naomi's been doing amazing, so huge congratulations to her. She is an incredible inspiration with what she has done with her platform."
