A former UFC fighter and U.S. Army Green Beret says he was shocked to realize that his partner on a reality TV show was the suspect in the New Year's Day Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas.

On Friday, Tim Kennedy, 45, wrote in an Instagam post that he and Matthew Livelsberger, 37, appeared together on “Ultimate Soldier Challenge,” which aired for one season in 2013 on the History Channel.

Livelsberger was the decorated special forces operator believed to be the man who pulled up in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Jan. 1 and blew up a rented Tesla Cybertruck,

Authorities believe Livelsberger died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head before the truck exploded, injuring seven people.

The two Green Berets won the competition featured in an episode entitled "Green Berets vs Norwegians."

In the contest, “two battle-hardened veterans of (the) U.S. Special Forces - the ‘Green Berets,’ compete against a pair of commandos from Norway’s super-secret FSK,” according to IMDB. “And both teams compete against a “Rogue” wild card team comprised of two military contractors.”

Kennedy was shocked when he came to the realization that his former reality TV show partner was the man accused of the attack in Las Vegas.

"Last night when I saw old photos of him on the news, I put together that it was the same guy," he wrote.
