Ex-NRL club junior admits drugs charges

Former NRL hopeful Benjamin Darcy has admitted bashing a man and possessing cocaine at a Sydney nightclub last year.

The ex-Roosters junior player pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm after he punched the manager of World Bar in Potts Point last November and refused to leave the club due to his intoxication.

The 28-year-old had a further common assault against a police officer and a larceny charge dismissed at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday and is due to be sentenced on July 24.
