'Evict me': House covered in vile graffiti selling for $775,000
A “formerly majestic” home up for sale has shocked prospective buyers with its derelict appearance.
The five-bedroom, four-bathroom two storey family home in Colorado Springs, in the US state of Colorado, is on offer for $590,000 (A$775,059) — but the price isn’t the only thing raising eyebrows.
Photos of the property show extensive damage inside the home, with graffiti plastered on every wall and even the carpet and kitchen appliances.
The vandalism appears to have been done by the previous tenant, with the words “evict me b***h” scribbled on a door in black paint.
“More work for you” is also painted on the living room floor.
The home has been deemed an “investor special” by the real estate agents, who said it was once the “seller’s pride and joy”.
“Now it’s every landlord’s nightmare and needs someone with firm resolve to appreciate its potential,” the listing reads.

“If you dream of owning your own little slice of hell and turning it into a piece of heaven, then look no further!
“This house is not for the faint of heart but for that special person who can see through the rough diamond to the polished gem inside.”
Stinking meat in the basement
The real estate agent says the home features “soaring ceilings” and an open floor plan.
“You will also notice there is not one surface of the home that has not been enhanced with black spray paint or a swinging hammer - damage done by an angry departing tenant who didn’t want to pay rent.
“But don’t let that slow you down. It’s not nearly as daunting as the freezer in the basement that’s full of meat and hasn’t had electricity to it for over a year,” the listing said.
Prospective buyers who want to tour the home are strongly encouraged to wear a mask for their protection.
“You may not be able to endure the smell if you don’t,” the realtor warns.
“There is a walk-out to a back deck – but don’t go out there as the deck is not necessarily attached to the house in the manner you might hope.”
The home’s advertisement caught the eye of Instagram page Zillowgonewild, whose post has more than 40,000 likes.
“Tell me you’ve been evicted without telling me you’ve been evicted,” one follower joked.
“I too am formerly majestic,” another person said.
“‘Enhanced with black spray paint or a swinging hammer’. The devil works hard but realtors work harder,” a third wrote.
“If ‘not getting back your security deposit’ was a picture,” a fourth person chimed in.
