Here's How To Make A Showdown Quiz For The BuzzFeed Community
BuzzFeed quizzes. You know them. You love them. Sometimes, you just need to know what kind of soup you are. We've got personality quizzes, trivia quizzes, and even polls.
You may think we've already mastered all quizzy possibilities, but here comes a new format you may not know about! It's called the showdown — and the best part is that you can make your own!
A showdown is the ultimate "this or that" quiz. It's set up like a virtual deck of cards where you have to choose between two options at a time to determine which is the best!
Once you narrow down all the choices, one will be crowned the winner! You'll see a bracket of all your options and how your answers compare to others:

There are endless possibilities of topics to make showdowns about — food, celebs, music, TV, animals, the weather....whatever you want! Let's get into how to make one of your own.
If you haven't already, make sure to create an account on BuzzFeed to join the Community! Once you've logged in, click on your avatar in the top left corner and select "Create New Post":
On the next screen, select "Quiz" when asked what kind of post you'd like to make.
This will bring you to the CMS, a magical place where BuzzFeed Community posts are created. Select "Quiz" and then "Showdown" at the bottom of the dropdown menu:
Once showdown is selected, the first thing you'll do is create a title:
Then, you'll choose a color scheme for your quiz results. The two colors will create a lovely gradient effect. Keep in mind that the text can only be black or white, so choose a background where the words can still be read clearly:
Next, you'll choose what color scheme you'd like for your showdown cards. The back of each card has one default color so it can't be changed, but the front can be adjusted by selecting "change theme" and picking from all the colors that pop up:
Next, click this box 🚨ONLY🚨 if you want your questions to be randomized. If you don't click this box, the questions will be asked in the order you choose later!
Now it's time to pick what choices are going head to head. The options are color coded, so the green card will be vs. the other green card, red vs. red, yellow vs. yellow....you get it!
Then, you'll add titles for each card, pictures, and photo credit. ⭐ TIP: You aren't required to add pictures to your showdown. You can use text only, if you want! ⭐
Once you've filled out all of your cards, it'll look a little somethin' like this:
🚨🚨🚨Make sure to include at LEAST eight cards or you won't be able to save or publish your post! You can have as many options as you want, but eight is the minimum! 🚨🚨🚨 You can add more choices by using the "Add Card" button at the bottom of the page:
If you change your mind about your card pairings and want to rearrange them, you can! Just click on the six dots at the top of the card and drag it where you'd like it to go. Once the card is moved, it will go against the card with the same color for the first round:
