On Monday 31 July, it was announced that Euphoria star Angus Cloud had tragically passed away, aged just 25. The actor's family released a statement to TMZ following his death – part of which read: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."

The family's words also touched on Angus' father's recent passing, detailing that he "intensely struggled with this loss" and the "only comfort" they have is "knowing [he] is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend."

Now - almost two months on from his passing - the actor's cause of death has been revealed as confirmed by the Alameda County Coroner to E! Online. According to reports, it was a result of a "lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and more." The Coroner also stated that his death is being ruled as an accidental overdose.

On Saturday 5 August, nearly a week after his death, the actor's mum, Lisa Cloud penned an emotional Facebook status shedding light on her son's final moments. All while insisting his death was "unintentional."

"Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time. I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father's untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one," she shared.

"He was reorganising his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially," she continued, before adding: "He did not intend to end his life."

Lisa's heartbreaking post then revealed that they hugged each other goodnight, said "how much [they] loved each other" and that Angus said "he would see [her] in the morning."

"I don't know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn't wake up," she wrote.

Lisa added that while the family may find out that Angus "overdosed accidentally and tragically," she reiterated that "it's abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world."

While acknowledging that his "struggles were real," she highlighted how important his work and fans were to him. Plus, that he had made such an impact on the world and on them. Especially thanks to his work in Euphoria.

It "became a lightning rod for his generation and opened up a conversation about compassion, loyalty, acceptance and love," she said, noting that her son "gave and received so much love and support to and from his tribe."

She also touched on Angus' near-death experience when he sustained a head injury after falling into a construction pit a decade prior, stating he was given 10 "bonus years" which he filled with "creativity and love."

To conclude the post, Lisa again cleared up social media rumours that suggested her son's death was intentional.

"I want you to know that is not the case. To honour his memory, please make random acts of kindness part of your daily life. Bless your hearts," she finished.
