Boot season is here - and while some need only wonder about whether to go for black or tan in their new calf-skimming winter footwear, some of us are left wondering if we'll ever find a pair that fits.
If you're someone with wider calves, you'll know the struggle of trying to find a pair of boots that fasten comfortably only too well.
In the end, many of us compromise and end up with boots that look either too small for us or start to crinkle downwards and end up becoming misshapen.
But no more need we suffer, because the wonderful fashion editor and stylist, Erica Davies, has collaborated with John Lewis to create an exclusive collection of wider in the calf boots for women who struggle to wear slim-cut boots - and they're already selling extremely quickly!
Erica decided to help create the collection after she received a huge number of messages asking her where to find stylish, on-trend boots that fitted a wider calf.
She was stunned by the huge response and realised this was a problem for many women. So she reached out to Jo Bennet, John Lewis' head of womenswear, with the information from her followers to see if there was something they could do together.
"Erica's followers spoke passionately about the lack of wider fitting knee high boots available on the high street and how frustrating it is that those available lack style," Jo explained.
"I am very proud to say we’ve tried the collection on women with a wide range of dress and shoe sizes and it’s resulted in our most inclusive collection of boots to date.”
The collection includes a variety of exclusive prints and colour palettes, and we definitely think it gets the tick on being both fashion forward and comfortable.
Key design features include elastic panels to allow for stretch and comfort, concealed elastic gussets, soft supple leathers and suedes which will soften and shape over time.
This has resulted in boots that allow for a 10-15% increase in width when compared to the average boot.
There are 10 different pairs in the collection, but we've picked out our top five to help you choose more easily.
We'd be quick though if we were you, they're selling super-fast.
