Plus André and Drumstick are teaming up to make the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday a national holiday
The actor and comedian, 40, stars in the ice cream brand's first-ever Super Bowl commercial, which PEOPLE can exclusively reveal. André and Drumstick are also working together to make the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday a national holiday.
"This Drumstick partnership is extra cool because not only do they have this awesome commercial (starring yours truly), but they’re encouraging fans to sign a petition to make the day after the game a national holiday for some unexpected, wacky fun — coining it #DrumstickMonday," André tells PEOPLE.
"We all deserve this day," he adds. "I give it up to Drumstick for taking matters into their own hands. It's time we make #DrumstickMonday a national holiday once and for all."
The change.org petition is close to meeting its 5,000 signatures goal.

In the ad, which will be shown during the Kansas City Chiefs matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11, André stars as a traveler who experiences stomach pain while onboard an airplane.
As a flight attendant uses the overhead speaker system to call out for a doctor to aid André, Drumstick's mascot, Dr. Umstick, offers to help over a certified physician, who is sitting nearby on the aircraft.
Appearing next to André on the flight, Dr. Umstick pulls out his medical bag, which contains various ice cream treats from the brand. When André asks the fictional character if he is "going to be okay," Dr. Umstick replies, "I have no idea. I'm not a body doctor."
Various travelers are then shown enjoying Drumstick snacks — with one even exclaiming, "It's so good!" — as André winces in pain.
André, who calls himself a "huge football guy" and notes that he is a Miami Dolphins fan, says starring in Drumstick's inaugural Super Bowl ad, was an honor, as he has "been a fan since I was a kid."
"Starring alongside Dr. Umstick was an experience for the books," he says. "The crazy times we shared, but what happens on set, stays on set."
The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
