Australian Story, Today, 8pm ABC1
Blind Aboriginal singer Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, described as having the voice of an angel, is the subject of tonight's episode of Australian Story.
The reclusive ARIA Award-winning musician from remote Elcho Island in the far north of Australia is notoriously reticent towards the media.
Three years in the making, this "intimate profile" features behind-the-scenes footage drawn from more than 150 hours of material shot by Skinnyfish Music's in-house filmmaker Naina Sen and interviews with Gurrumul's family and closest associates, including his unofficial "mouthpiece" and friend, Michael Hohnen.
There’s also a sneak preview of Gurrumul's new recordings from a session in New York earlier this year.
After being held captive for eight years, Natascha Kampusch hits back at those who doubt her story.
