Emma Raducanu swapped her tennis whites for a glittering dress to make an appearance at a ritzy event to celebrate London Fashion Week.

The tennis star, 18, who became the first British woman to win a grand slam title for 44 years when she won the US Open earlier this month, attended a dinner hosted by British Vogue and Tiffany & Co.

Switching her usual sporting ensemble for something altogether more glam, the teenage star looked chic in a sparkly pleated skirt and embellished, halter-neck two-piece by Erdem.

Swapping her trainers for silver sandals, Raducanu mingled with other A-list guests including Idris Elba, model Jourdan Dunn and actor Claire Foy.

The party, which was hosted by the fashion bible and the jewellery brand, celebrated this year’s London Fashion Week which ends on Tuesday and came as Raducanu confirmed on Instagram she has signed up as an ambassador for the luxury jewellery firm.

"Very excited to join the iconic Tiffany & Co family as a House Ambassador," she wrote.

"Being able to wear these special jewellery pieces over the past few weeks has been an honour."

At the event the teenager, who went from anonymous sixth-former to one of the world’s biggest stars in a matter of months, after storming to victory in the US Open, explained her excitement about becoming a brand ambassador for Tiffany & Co.

“It’s such an iconic brand and one that I’ve felt connected to for quite some time,” Raducanu tells British Vogue. “I wore the ring, bracelet, earrings and cross necklace throughout the [US Open] tournament. These pieces will always be very special to me.”

She also opted to accessorise her Chanel off-the-shoulder jacket and matching patterned skirt with Tiffany pieces to attend the Met Gala 2021.

Fresh from her victory on the court, the 18-year-old champion decided to stay on in the Big Apple to attend one of the biggest events of the fashion calendar, where she joined the likes of Kristen Stewart and Lily-Rose Depp on the red carpet.

Following her incredible victory in the US open the tennis star has said she will leave it to her parents to work out what to do with her £1.8 million prize money.
