Elon Musk Trolls Justin Trudeau Over Trump’s Bluster Over Annexing Canada
Elon Musk has told Justin Trudeau he “doesn’t matter” after the outgoing Canadian prime minister dismissed Donald Trump’s plan for the U.S. to take over its northern neighbor.
The key adviser to the president-elect jabbed Trudeau on his X social media platform (formerly Twitter) after the prime minister announced Monday he is to resign.
Since winning reelection in November, Trump has repeatedly baited Trudeau about making Canada a U.S. state.
In an X post on Tuesday, Trudeau asserted that “there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States.”
He replied, “Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other’s biggest trading and security partner.”
On Wednesday, Musk responded to Trudeau’s replies, saying, “Girl, you’re not the governor of Canada anymore, so it doesn’t matter what you say.”

During a rambling press conference on Tuesday, Trump threatened “economic force” against Canada to absorb it into the U.S. and renewed his threat to impose 25% tariffs on Canadian goods.
The incoming president added he wants hockey legend Wayne Gretzky to run for Canada’s prime minister — or “Governor,” as he has derisively referred to the post.
At the event, Trump also refused to rule out using military force to take control of Greenland and the Panama Canal.
