Elle Edwards’ father slams early prison release of thug who helped daughter’s killer
The father of murdered beautician Elle Edwards has hit out at the justice system after it was revealed the criminal who helped her killer could be released from prison early.
Miss Edwards was an innocent bystander out for a Christmas drink in Wallasey on Christmas Eve 2022, when she was murdered by gunman Connor Chapman.
Her father Tim has now been told that Thomas Waring, the man who hid the gun for his daughter’s killer, could be released early after serving just two years and nine months of a nine-year sentence.
Mr Edwards said the news “makes a mockery of the sentencing”, when he appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (13 November).
