Twitter celebrates Eli Manning's accomplishments — and iconic faces — after retirement announcement

Eli Manning will retire after spending all 16 seasons with the New York Giants, the team announced Wednesday. It wasn’t a total surprise after he spent most of the 2019 season on the bench while rookie quarterback Daniel Jones got his shot.

The NFL world reacted to the news of Manning’s retirement on Twitter, mostly with mentions of the helmet catch.

But the most interesting stat may be his career record.

Former teammates Shaun O’Hara and Tiki Barber shared their thoughts on the quarterback during their media gigs Wednesday.

This might be one of the largest reasons fans will miss the guy in blue.

And this is the real reason for the teary eyes.

Now the next question is if Eli truly is worthy of the Hall of Famer.
