Two elderly men snuck out of their nursing home to go to the world’s biggest heavy metal music festival.
After being reported missing, according to the Deutsche Well, the elderly metal-heads were found by police around 3am in the middle of the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.
Friday’s festival in the town of Wacken was sold out and had an estimated attendance of about 75,000.
They were ushered into a taxi, which was given a police escort back to the nursing home.
“The care home quickly organised return transport after police picked them up,” police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld said.
“They obviously liked the metal festival.”
The two aging rockers were discovered “disorientated and dazed” at the event — however, they apparently didn’t want to leave.

The line-up at Wacken Open Air over the weekend included acts such as Judas Priest and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Although the festival is usually known for its muddy fields, there were warning of fires issued amid Europe’s heatwave.
