Eight-month-pregnant woman fatally shoots armed intruder
A heavily pregnant woman has shot and killed a home intruder with an automatic rifle after two men broke into her house and began beating her husband.
Jeremy King said he was inside his Florida home last week when two masked men with guns broke in about 9pm, according to Bay News 9.
Mr King said the unknown men pointed their weapons at him before demanding any valuable items and money.
“They came in heavily hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” he told the publication.
“I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you’.
“And they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast,” he said.
As one of the men whipped him with a pistol, Mr King said his wife walked out of her bedroom - prompting one of the intruders to fire at her.
The woman, who is eight months into her pregnancy, grabbed an AR-15 and fired back, killing him.
“He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing,” Mr King told Bay News 9.
The second intruder fled the scene and remains on the run.
