Eden Hazard has suffered another injury with Real Madrid and is a doubt for the international break.

Belgium face three fixtures across the two-week period, though have already confirmed that no player will feature in all three games—and Hazard was named in the squad on Wednesday morning.

Later in the day, however, his club confirmed he had suffered a “muscle injury” in his right leg, meaning the forward will almost certainly sit out the games against Ivory Coast, England and Iceland, the latter two in the Nations League.

A short statement from the club did not specify a timescale for Hazard’s return.

However, Goal cite unspecified Spanish reports suggesting Hazard could be out for three to four weeks, putting his participation for the first El Clasico of the season in doubt.

Real Madrid started their season with a goalless draw against Real Sociedad, before beating Real Betis last time out.

Hazard played only 16 games in LaLiga last season and has yet to appear this term.
