EastEnders aired a major arrest twist in the show's latest episode (April 4) as Sharon Watts found herself coming under suspicion.

Keanu Taylor's body was discovered in yesterday's edition (April 3), after Jack Branning agreed to help retrieve his wife Denise's signature necklace from the rubble.

As Bernie reeled from her grisly finding, she faced further devastation when the police informed her that the body had been identified as Keanu.

Thursday's scenes saw gossip start to spread, as Sharon paid Jack a visit in a bid to get some police intel.

Not wanting to raise suspicion, Jack initially refused to help but ended up reluctantly giving Sharon advice on how to act when the police inevitably call.

Sure enough, the police soon arrived at Sharon's to inform her about Keanu and re-question her on the events of Christmas.

Sharon put on a convincing performance in front of the police and was later persuaded by Kathy to visit Bernie, given that is how she would have behaved in normal circumstances.

Kathy also warned Sharon that it would only be a matter of time before the news reached Karen, reminding Sharon of Karen's previous suspicions about her involvement.

Taking Kathy's advice, Sharon went to see a devastated Bernie, where they both bonded over their shared love for Keanu.

On learning that Bernie hadn't been in touch with Karen yet, Sharon encouraged her to give it some time before breaking the news.

However, when Felix later overheard Bernie playing Keanu's voice note from Christmas night, he became suspicious.

After learning of Sharon's meddling in regards to Karen, Felix pointed out to Bernie how odd this all seemed and encouraged her to tell the police.

Following this, the police later arrived to arrest Sharon in front of everyone, as a horrified Zack and Phil protested her innocence. What will happen now?
