Earthquake strikes Vanuatu region

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake has struck the Vanuatu region, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) says.

The quake in the south Pacific on Saturday had a depth of 511 kilometres, the EMSC said.

The US Tsunami Warning System said there was no tsunami warning after the earthquake.
