The 53-year-old man was taken to hospital at the time with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police on Thursday raided an Oak Park property and arrested the man and a 43-year-old woman.
Investigators found drugs, cash, a firearm and ammunition during the arrests.
The man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, reckless conduct endangering life, being a person prohibited from using a firearm, committing an indictable offence while on bail and failure to comply with COVID-19 lockdown rules.
The woman was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of GHB and cannabis, dealing in proceeds of crime and possession of ammunition.
