Security video has caught the moment two men took an ambulance stretcher for a joyride in Sydney’s CBD.
The pair were captured on camera running down the street with the $40,000 motorised device.
The duo allegedly stole the ambulance device on Saturday morning while paramedics were treating a patient.
The paramedics had left the stretcher outside a building to go and treat the patient after they realised the premises had stairs.

But when they returned, the stretcher was nowhere to be seen and the paramedics called police.
The stretcher was found several blocks away a short time later.
A 22-year-old has been charged over the incident.
