Driver uninjured after beer keg hits car

A stiff drink might be in order for a Sydney driver whose car was hit by a flying beer keg while driving on along the M4.

The man is believed to have escaped serious injury in the early morning incident on Tuesday, just past Eastern Creek in Sydney's west.

Video posted on social media shows the keg bouncing on the road and smashing into the car's windscreen.

"That was my dad driving the car, he's ok," Carolyn Wood wrote on Dash Cam Owners Australia's Facebook page.

"The car was a write off though. Thank God, it could of been a lot worse."

He escaped with just a "few scratches", she said, noting the Carlton Dry keg was empty.

"Just goes to show that anything can happen at any time. Very Scary."

The video has been viewed nearly 100,000 times since it was posted on Tuesday afternoon.
