A garbage man has saved a little girl’s life after she was allegedly kidnapped.

An amber alert was issued for Jalisa Lasalle, 10, late on Sunday (local time) after she went missing from New Iberia in the state US state of Louisiana.

Residents were told to look out for a gray Nissan Altima believed to have been involved.

On Monday morning, Dion Merrick, who works for Pelican Waste & Debris, spotted the suspect’s car while on his garbage route and called the police.
