Two people are dead and another has been hospitalised after a suspected head-on crash in the NSW Riverina.
Two people died after two vehicles collided on Gerogery Road near the small town of Jindera north of the NSW-Victorian border on Sunday night, police said.
Early reports indicate a driver of one of the vehicles has been hospitalised.
Emergency services are on scene.
The crash comes after an elderly passenger died after the car he travelling in hit a traffic pole following a collision with a van in Sydney's north.
The 90-year-old woman driver and her 94-year-old male passenger were trapped in the car for some time after the accident on Saturday morning in St Ives.
The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with critical injuries and later died. The woman was treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the van, a 43-year-old man, was uninjured and underwent mandatory blood and urine testing.
