SexyBamboe, Dota 2 pro player and popular streamer, dead at 29
Dota 2 professional player and streamer Alaan "SexyBamboe" Faraj has died. He was 29 years old.
While there was no formal announcement, SexyBamboe's passing was confirmed by his family, close friends, and former teammates in the community.

SexyBamboe was a longtime fixture of the Dota 2 community, having been active in the professional scene as far back as 2009 in the original DotA mod for WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne.
The Dutch gamer transitioned to Dota 2 in 2011 and has played for as many as 18 teams in his decade-long professional career, with notable stints with mousesports in 2012, Evil Geniuses in 2013, Team Zephyr in 2014, and Kaipi in 2016.
SexyBamboe's last pro professional appearance was with Team Bald during the Division II qualifiers of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit's Western European regional league.
Aside from his professional career, SexyBamboe was also one of the most popular Dota 2 streamers, notably forming an iconic trio with former teammates and fellow streamers Wehsing "SingSing" Yuen and Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski.
SexyBamboe's close friends and former teammates have also asked the Dota 2 community to avoid any speculation surrounding his death.
