Doorbell camera catches the moment man is bitten on face by snake
A doorbell camera has captured the terrifying moment a snake hurtles towards an unsuspecting man and bites him on the face.
Jerel Heywood was visiting a friend in Lawton, in the US state of Oklahoma, when the reptile launched at him from the front door.
“Ouch, f***, take me to the hospital,” Mr Heywood yells as he grabs his eye and runs inside.
Mr Heywood was taken to hospital but discovered the snake was not venomous, Oklahoma’s News 4 reports.
“No stitches thankfully, but they cleaned me up pretty good,” he told the news station.
“I am on antibiotics.”
The snake was later attacked by a neighbour who brought over a hammer after hearing the screams.
People who saw a video of the unexpected attack on Facebook suggested it could be a prank, but others who live in the area claimed they had also seen snakes on their front door.
“Now I’m going to be paranoid going in and out of my house and car,” one commented.
