Domino's store to close after 'disgusting' photos leaked by disgruntled employee

A Domino’s store in northern NSW has been forced to close its doors after photos emerged of filthy kitchen conditions online.

A man, claiming to be a former employee of Domino’s Lismore, shared photos of dirty pots and pans, mouldy cheese and uncovered food in store.

“Hey ladies and gents, so I feel that you all deserve to know how your food is stored and kept in the Lismore Domino’s store,” he wrote.

A Domino’s Australia company spokesperson told Yahoo7 once the photos emerged it decided to close the Lismore store temporarily.

“Once we were made aware of these photos online we voluntarily closed the store,” the spokesperson said.

“We take food safety very seriously and our team is now in the store investigating.

“It’s important we remind the community this is an isolated incident and it would be disappointing to think they’d be affected by this.”

It’s not known when the store plans to re-open.

The pics were flooded with comments on Facebook with nearly 900 shares.

“Putrid,” one woman wrote.

“I hope you send these to the health department. It’s disgusting.”

Another woman simply labelled them as “gross”.

“I literally feel sick! How bloody disgusting,” one man wrote.
