Dog discussion sparks row, stabbing in NSW

A man has been stabbed after going to a NSW Central Coast house to speak to residents about their dog.

Police have been told the 49-year-old man became involved in an argument with a 32-year-old man at the Empire Bay residence on Monday night.

The younger man allegedly asked the older man to leave before threatening him with a knife and swinging the weapon.

The 49-year-old man was helped home by a witness and treated at Gosford Hospital for a chest wound before being discharged.

The other man has been charged with wound with intent and is due to face Gosford Local Court on Tuesday.
