'Doesn't get much closer': Cars inches from disaster after driver skips stop sign

Dash cam vision of a near miss collision has been shared on social media and watching it will send a shiver down your spine.

A car is seen speeding through an intersection on Main Street, Perth, in the video.

The driver seems to ignore the stop sign, the driver narrowly misses three other vehicles.

The driver of the car that filmed the near miss was caught off guard, as he listens to classical music and suddenly swears as the black car speeds past just moments before a potential impact.

Thankfully, nobody was injured in the heart-stopping moment that was posted on the Dash Cam Owners Facebook page and commenters have compared the moment to a retro video game.

“This reminds me of that precision move playing ‘Frogger’ when you fly between all the traffic and straight onto turtles and crocodiles and to home base in a 2 second play,” one follower said.

While another pointed out that the quick-thinking driver of the white Hilux must have hit the breaks just before a potentially fatal disaster.

“I’m pretty sure that the Hilux just clipped the black car… if it didn’t, it missed it by millimetres,” one poster said.

One eagle-eyed person pointed out that the dash cam shows the driver filming was travelling at 64km, while the speed limit on a suburban road in Perth would most likely be be 60km.

“I’m sure the cam car was speeding,” they said.

People commenting on similar dash cam footage which emerged earlier this year said it highlighted the “golden rule” that you should never trust another cars blinker.
