The Fifteenth Doctor and his companion Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) will kick off their adventures in the TARDIS later this month with a two-part premiere that will lead directly into the Eurovision Song Contest.

The standard Blu-ray version of Ncuti's first season is up for £41.66 on Amazon, or for £49.99 on Zavvi and HMV. A DVD can be pre-ordered from Amazon for £33.32, or £39.99 from HMV.

All of these Doctor Who home video sets are due for release on August 12, 2024. Special features will be announced closer to the release date.

The new season will continue the mystery surrounding Ruby Sunday's origins, as she joins the TARDIS crew full-time.

Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies and cast member Millie Gibson have both confirmed that the mystery of Ruby Sunday will unfold over at least two seasons.

RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon will arrive in the second-half of the two-part premiere as new villain Maestro — who RTD has confirmed is unrelated to classic Doctor Who villain The Master.

Other notable guest stars will include former Game of Thrones and Torchwood star Indira Varma as the villainous Duchess, plus Frozen star Jonathan Groff and returning guests Jemma Redgrave (aka Kate Stewart) and Bonnie Langford (aka Melanie Bush).

Millie Gibson has also dropped hints about how Strictly Come Dancing duo Shirley Ballas and Johannes Radebe will make a special appearance in an episode set at Abbey Road Studios.

"It's just the craziest thing, and it was crazy to film it, but it was just equally as special. That day we were dancing with them, we had a ball," the actor said. "We had so much fun. [Dancing] wasn't included in the audition process, let's just say.”

Doctor Who will return for its 14th series on May 11 at midnight, airing on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Classic episodes of Doctor Who are available on BBC iPlayer in the UK.
