Jinkx Monsoon has given fans a first glimpse at her villainous role in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

Taking to Instagram, the RuPaul’s Drag Race winner shared the latest trailer for the upcoming 14th season (billed as season 1 internationally), which featured a very brief clip of her character.

"You called?" Monsoon's character can be heard saying in the clip, as she appears from behind a piano. "Ready to make some beautiful music with me?" she captioned the post.

"#DoctorWho premieres on BBC iPlayer in the UK 11th May and Disney+ 10th May where available."

While Monsoon didn't reveal the name of her character or the episode she'll be appearing in, the confirmation that her villain is musical themed could tie into the upcoming Beatles episode, which will see the Doctor step back into the '60s and come face-to-face with the Fab Four.

Monsoon was confirmed to be joining the sci-fi series in April last year, calling the role "a dream come true" in an interview with Pride.

"It's insane. It's like all of my actor fantasies have been rolled into one character, and now I get to do it all on a show that I love, written by a prolific writer, a voice of our generation who has written so many astounding things," she said.

Showrunner Russell T Davies has also teased that The Doctor will face his "most powerful enemy" in Monsoon's character, hinting that several characters could die in their showdown.
