Doctor Who star Karen Gillan stuns fans by revealing pregnancy at Toronto Film Festival
Marvel and Doctor Who star Karen Gillan has stunned fans by revealing she's expecting her first child.
The Scottish actress, 36, debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the Toronto Film Festival on Friday night.
The Hollywood A-lister looked radiant as she attended The Life of Chuck premiere at The Princess of Wales Theatre.
Gillan proudly cradled her growing bump in a striking sunshine yellow mini dress with an off-the-shoulder cape detail.
The flame-haired beauty wore her trademark locks in soft waves and opted for a glamorous makeup look, complete with edgy black nail polish.
Joining Gillan at the prestigious event were her co-stars Tom Hiddleston and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The trio appeared in high spirits, posing for photographs and greeting enthusiastic fans.
Guardians of the Galaxy star Gillan tied the knot with American screenwriter Nick Kocher, 38, in a lavish ceremony at Castle Toward in Dunoon, Argyll, last year. The groom, donning a kilt, made a memorable entrance via speedboat after celebrating with mates on a luxury vessel prior to the nuptials.
The couple exchanged vows in front of family and celebrity friends, including Gillan's former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Saturday Night Live comedian Beck Bennett, whose actress wife Jessy Hodge delivered a reading during the ceremony.
Gillan and Kocher, who hails from Atlanta, Georgia, are believed to have been an item for over two years after meeting in the States. Kocher has written for the popular sitcom It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and appeared alongside his wife in the Netflix film The Bubble, released earlier this year.
The actress shot to fame as Amy Pond, Matt Smith's companion in Doctor Who, from 2010 to 2013, before making her mark in Hollywood with roles in blockbuster franchises like Guardians of the Galaxy and Jumanji.
