Doctor’s License Suspended After Being Accused of Performing Sex Acts While Staff Watched
David Diffine’s license was suspended on an emergency basis following allegations of sexual misconduct at his Blytheville, Ark., practice, per reports, which cite a state medical board
An Arkansas family medicine doctor's medical license was suspended after he was accused of engaging in sex acts while his staff watched, as well as walking naked in his clinic, according to multiple reports.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Arkansas State Medical Board issued an emergency order of suspension after receiving a complaint about Dr. David Diffine.
The board issued the emergency order of suspension alleging that Diffine violated the Medical Practices Act and Board Regulations, JonesboroRightNow.com and KAIT reports.
According to the order, Diffine allegedly engaged “in sexual contact, sexual relations, or romantic relationship with a patient," the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reports.
In July, the board received a complaint alleging that the doctor “engaged in sexual contact with his staff, who were also his patients, and sexually harassed these same individuals,” JonesboroRightNow.com reports.
The complaint included security camera footage of the alleged sexual conduct and harassment from his clinic on July 17, the order alleges, KAIT reports.

“The video shows, among other things, Dr. Diffine performing a sexual act with a staff member while other staff members were present and watching,” the order alleged, according to KAIT. “The video also shows Dr. Diffine walking throughout the clinic naked.”
The board issued the emergency suspension because “Diffine allegedly presents “an ongoing danger to the public in his continued practice of medicine,” the order alleges, KAIT reports.
On Dec. 6, the board is holding a hearing when members can decide to revoke or suspend Diffine’s license in Arkansas.
In 2017, the board temporarily suspended Diffine’s license for allegedly overprescribing drugs to patients, JonesboroRightNow.com reports. The charges were dismissed because the board was unable to prove the allegations, KAIT reports.
The Arkansas State Medical Board and Diffine did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
