A woman is hoping to find the diner who paid for her family’s restaurant bill even though her son had been hitting him on the head with a balloon.
The mother, only known as Lisa, from Cardiff in Wales, UK, visited a restaurant, Frankie and Benny’s with her partner Phillip and her two children, including her two-year-old son Luca who was hitting a stranger on the head with a balloon, Wales Online reported.
The waitress had given the boy the balloon because the family was facing a long wait for their food, but the child began using it to hit the gentleman next to them on the head.
Out of respect, the couple asked to be moved to a different table so the man could eat his meal in peace but he told them not to worry and began speaking with him.
However, the family still moved and later found out that he had paid their bill.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Lisa told the publication. “Me and my boyfriend both had tears in our eyes, it was such a kind thing to do.”
The group had polished off about A$125 worth of food.

When they asked for the bill, Lisa said the waitress had a huge smile on her face.
“She came over and said she was excited to tell us because it had never happened in there before,” Lisa said.
“She said the gentleman had paid the entire bill and for extra ice cream.”
“I know there’s a slim chance of finding him, but I would love to repay him and buy him a meal.”
Lisa said that it was a nice feeling to have the meal paid as going out with children can be “stressful sometimes”.
“It just goes to show there are some lovely people out there,” she said.
