An alleged dine and dasher’s plans to skip on the bill have gone terribly wrong.

Video shared by Burnaby Royal Canadian Mounted Police, based in Vancouver, shows a number of police officers waiting in a kitchen.

Police said she tried to sneak out by crawling through an air duct, but unfortunately her plans completely unravelled.

“Luckily she wasn't hurt when she fell through the ceiling tiles and landed right in front of our Burnaby frontline officers,” police tweeted.

Video shows her breaking through the ceiling and landing on the floor. An officer then apprehends her.

Police told Global News CA the restaurant owner called them after he heard someone crawling around in the ceiling.

The restaurant also didn’t press charges due to the woman’s “life circumstances and struggles”.

The video was shot in March but released by police last week.

On Twitter, people were shocked by the lengths the woman went through to avoid paying her bill.

“How expensive could her meal have been to make this worth it?” one woman tweeted.

One man jokingly tweeted “prices are going through the ceiling”.
