Designers refuse to dress Grammy nominee because she's 'too big'

American singer Bebe Rexha has revealed high-end fashion designers refused to dress her for the Grammys because she’s “too big”.

The Grammy Awards, which are set to take place in LA on 10 February 2019, celebrate talent in the musical industry and fashion designers from across the globe create custom-made looks for the A-list attendees.

But – despite being nominated for two of the prestigious awards this year – Bebe, who is an AU size 12 (US size 8) has admitted she cannot find anyone to dress her.

The 29-year-old singer, who is nominated for both the best new artist and best country duo/group performance awards, discussed what happened in an Instagram video posted to her 7.3 million followers.

She says: “So I finally get nominated at the Grammys and it’s the coolest thing ever.

“A lot of times, artists will go to designers and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet.

“I had my team hit up a lot of designers and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big.

“Literally, I’m too big,” she adds in disbelief.

However, she later shared a message about loving your body in the post’s caption, stressing women are “beautiful any size”.

Last November, clothing retailer Pretty Little Thing celebrated body diversity by featuring two different sized models wearing the same clothing in one of its adverts.
