Delivery driver’s bizarre act after person falls in puddle

A TikTok video of a delivery has gone viral for all the wrong reasons, although the clip has completely divided opinion online.

TikTok user @jaxarx123 shared a video that was taken from their smart doorbell, which looks out on to their driveway.

"The time I face planted in a puddle and the driver took a pic of me still on the floor as proof of delivery," the TikTok user wrote.

In the video you see someone, which we can assume is @jaxarx123, walking up to the road on the left-hand side of the screen before slipping in a puddle.

After slipping, the person turns over and can be seen lying on their back before sitting upright. At this point the delivery driver is seen walking towards them.

Instead of helping the person, the delivery driver snaps a photo of whatever they are delivering with @jaxarx123 sitting on the ground in the background as proof.

Some courier-type services require delivery people to provide proof they have delivered the goods in the form of a photo.

The timestamp on the video said it was taken on May 21, just after 1:15pm.

Since the video was uploaded just days ago, the clip has been viewed on TikTok over 1.3 million times.

Many people sympathised with the person who fell over, while others thought the video was quite funny.

"I was about to cry but this is so funny, bless ya," someone said.

"How did you fall down like that? someone asked.

"Like, from where did you fall THAT hard?"

One user suggested the delivery person took the photo on the sly, so the recipient wouldn't have to stand there covered in mud for the photo.

However, not everyone was convinced the footage was legitimate, with one person saying they thought it was "fabricated".
