Six teenagers charged over fatal stabbing of 15-year-old boy

Six teenagers have been charged over the death of a 15-year-old boy in Melbourne’s west.

They have all been charged with violent disorder and affray and will appear at a children’s court later on Wednesday, a Victoria Police spokesperson said in a statement.

Emergency services were called to an incident on Neale Road at Deer Park after 4pm on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old boy, who was from that suburb, had been stabbed and died at the scene.

Victoria Police said six male youths were arrested a short time later and interviewed by police.

Two 14-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy – all from St Albans – as well as a 15-year-old boy, from Deer Park, and a 13-year-old boy, from Hoppers Crossing, have been charged.

An investigation into the stabbing continues and police are urging witnesses, or anyone who has CCTV or dashboard camera footage to come forward.
