Death of man found in Brisbane home treated as 'suspicious'

A murder investigation is underway after the body of a man was discovered in a suburban home in Brisbane's north.

Police were called to an address on Wobur Street in Bracken Ridge around 12:30pm on Sunday after the man was found.

Police have established a crime scene and are treating the death as suspicious.

A relative of the dead person is thought to have returned home to find him deceased, 10 News reported.

A woman aged in her 60s and her son, thought to be in his 30s or 40s, were residents at the home, a neighbour told Courier Mail.

The mum was believed to have been the one to find the man, and was seen getting in a police car on Sunday, according to the publication.

Two people, believed to be relatives of the man, were seen leaving a neighbouring home in a distraught state.

The area, cordoned off by police on Sunday evening, was normally a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, according to residents.
