Death of four-month-old girl treated as suspicious

The death of a four-month-old girl in Queensland is being treated as suspicious by police.

The baby, from the Logan district – south of Brisbane, was taken to the Logan Hospital on Monday morning suffering life-threatening injuries.

The infant was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition, where she passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit and State Crime Command’s Homicide and Child Trauma squads are investigating her death.

A 35-year-old woman and 37-year-old man are assisting police with their enquiries.
