Deal or No Deal viewers admitted they were "in tears" as a contestant took home the highest prize so far.

The episode on Monday, 3 February saw paralegal Nay Nay trying her luck on the ITV game show, which began in 2005. She managed to hold her nerve and ended up scooping £75,000 - the biggest prize pot to have been won on the show.

Host Stephen Mulhern was amazed, saying he had "never seen anything like this". Viewers were also on the edge of their seats, with several saying on social media that they thought it was the "best" game in the history of the show.

The game sees players open a series of 22 boxes in a bid to secure a big cash prize. But at the same time, a banker is calling in with counter offers they can take instead.

When Nay Nay got down to just three boxes (£2,000, £75,000 and £100,000), the banker offered her £51,700. She said it would be "heartbreaking" to fail at that point but that she refused to give up and was prepared to gamble on getting all the way to the big money.

Everyone looked tense as Nay Nay picked another box to be opened, and she was in tears and exclaiming that she couldn't believe it as it was revealed that it contained the £2,000, meaning she was still on track for the top prizes.

The banker then offered £82,700 but Nay Nay replied: "No deal." It was then revealed that her box contained £75,000, which is what she was going home with.

"I'm happy! I'm happy!" she cried as everyone clapped and cheered.

"Your game has been untouchable," Mulhern told her. "Without question you are someone very very special," he said. "It's just a pleasure to meet you and I am over the moon to say with all my heart you are walking away as our highest ever winner - £75,000!"

Fans were wowed by Nay Nay's game, and many viewers said they were emotional as she clinched her huge prize.
