Dead man went unnoticed for four days outside Perth grocer

The body of a man has been found in a car parked outside a busy Perth food market after going unnoticed for four days.

The car had been parked right outside the entrance to Herdsman Fresh in Perth’s north, with the body being discovered on Thursday morning.

Staff had noticed the car in the same spot for several days, however it was a shopper who found the man after walking past the car.

“It was obvious something had happened and I was shocked no one realised sooner,” Melissa Sprlyan told Perth Now.

“Still shaken. My thoughts are with the family, condolences to them and the staff working today”.

According to the publication, staff felt terrible for not noticing the man sooner.

The windows of the car were heavily tinted, 7News reported, and staff only began to notice a foul smell on Wednesday.

Security cameras showed the man had been inside the store four days earlier before returning to his vehicle.

The man’s 4WD has since been towed away. His death is not believed to be suspicious.

The Herdsman remains open.
