Dad's heartbreaking post after TikToker dies aged 18

The father of an 18-year-old who had a substantial following on social media has released a heartfelt public message following her death.

On February 8, 18-year-old Dazhariaa Quint Noyes, known simply as ‘Dee’ on social media, died, her father confirmed on GoFundMe.

Dazhariaa, from the US state of Louisiana, had over one million followers on TikTok and thousands across Instagram and YouTube.

Her father, Joseph Santiago, paid tribute to her on TikTok, thanking her followers for loving and supporting Dazhariaa.

“I just want to thank everyone for their love and support of my daughter,” he wrote.

“Unfortunately she is no longer with us and has gone to a better place.”

A GoFundMe has also been set up, where Mr Santiago also left a message addressing Dazhariaa’s death.

“She was my little best friend and I wasn’t prepared in no way, to bury my child. She was so happy, and would be so excited to see me when I come home from being on the road,” he said.

“I only wish she would have spoken to me about her stress and the thoughts of suicide. We could work thru this.”

According to one of Dazhariaa’s TikToks from 2020, she went years without knowing who her father was.

She said he reached out to her some four years ago, but she “didn’t give him a chance”.

Last year, she reached out and it appears the two formed a strong bond.

The teen has previously said on social media she was raised by her grandmother and that her mother had struggled with addiction. Both her grandmother and mother featured in her videos on social media.

On her Instagram, Dazhariaa shared a stories highlight, titled “last post”.

In the first three videos of the highlight, the 18-year-old is dancing and lip syncing with her hair and makeup done. In the final photo, she is seen bare-faced.

It appears Dazhariaa has her own company called Dee Beauty. At the end of last year on Instagram she expressed her gratitude for those supporting her business.

“This might look very easy but trust me it’s not especially since I’m the only worker lol,” she wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of her surrounded by packages.

“I have to do sooo many things but I’m grateful for this.”

One social media, people are expressing their sadness for the teen’s death.

“RIP, we lost an angel,” one person said on Instagram.

“I love her so much she had a Beautiful spirit may she Rest In Peace,” another person said.
