Dad creates app which locks your child's phone until they reply to you

Sick of your children ignoring your calls and messages while on their smartphones?

Well one father appears to have the ultimate solution to your ongoing woes.

Londoner Nick Herbert has created an app that forces users to reply instantly or face having their phones locked.

His creation, named ReplyASAP, was inspired by his teenage son Ben who kept screening his calls over and over.

“This app was born out of personal frustrations with current messaging apps,” Mr Herbert explained on his website.

The app even allows you to set an alarm as soon as the recipient receives a call or text, with the function even working in silent mode.

Senders of messages or callers will be notified if the recipient has turned their phone off, providing sender and recipient have the app installed.

Mr Herbert hopes his app will finally enable you to “get hold of that person who always has their phone on silent.”

Since its creation in 2017, the app has since been downloaded over 100,000 times.

Only available for Android mobiles, Mr Herbert has revealed plans to roll out the app for Apple users.
