But a mean stranger took the video in a very different direction when they called Jared’s masculinity into question.
In the video, Jared expertly demonstrates how to tie and use a baby sling, his little girl and baby son watching before him on the couch.
With the simple caption of “Rocking that #dadlife #wrapgamestrong,” it seems like a perfectly innocent video, unworthy of any malice or criticism.
However, to trolls, anything can be a target of their ugliness, even lovingly raising your children.
“We’ve lost our alpha males…” the total stranger wrote in Jared’s comments — implying, of course, that Jared is a “beta male,” a slang term defined as “a man who lacks masculine energy and adopts feminine characteristics.”
But Jared didn’t let the ugly remark slide.
In response to the troll’s rude remark, the proud dad replied, “If not being alpha means being a good dad, then I’m good not being ‘alpha.'”
In fact, Jared was so unbothered by the troll’s nasty remark that he filmed a follow-up tutorial, slowly demonstrating how to use a Moby wrap with step-by-step instructions.
TikTokers were quick to take up Jared’s fight for him, with thousands of replies rolling in to praise his parenting skills.
Versatile Amazon fashion finds you'll wear again and again:
‘This is as alpha as it gets…’
“This is one of the most alpha things I’ve seen on TikTok. Great dad,” one user wrote.
“It doesn’t get much more alpha than this. Alpha raising alphas,” another user replied.
“ THIS IS A TRUE ALPHA. Go Daddy!!!” wrote another user.
“ Alpha males take care of the pack. This is as alpha as it gets,” commented one user.
Other users took up arms against the troll.
“You don’t sound so alpha crying and moaning on another dude’s TikTok,” one user wrote.
“Such fragile masculinity. It’s a baby sling. GTF over it,” another user replied.
“Do you not feel embarrassed referring to yourself or others as alphas? It’s so cringe,” commented one user.
“You know what’s not alpha? Getting upset over what a real man does to care for his kids,” wrote another user.
Hopefully, Jared will continue to proudly rock his baby sling, whether strangers online have a problem with it or not!
