Dad allegedly set on fire outside pub
One of two women accused of dousing a man in petrol and setting him alight at a Queensland pub was on parole at the time of the alleged attack, making her ineligible for bail.
Father-of-four Jordan Moore, 26, allegedly walked into the Stock Hotel pub in Harristown, in Toowoomba, seeking help after he was allegedly assaulted about 9.50pm on Wednesday September 13.
Queensland Police will allege Mr Moore suffered severe burns after he was allegedly set on fire in the car park of the Stock Hotel pub.
CCTV footage shows the moment Mr Moore was seen struggling to open the front doors of the Stock Hotel while seeking help after the alleged attack.
He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a stable condition as of Monday.
Codie Leigh Bird, 31, and Courtney Lee Ramsey, 35, were each later charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
When Ms Ramsey’s matter was briefly mentioned before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday, the court was told the 35-year-old woman had been on parole at the time of the alleged offending.
The Wilsonton woman’s parole was suspended as a result of the latest charge before the court and she was returned to prison.
Ms Ramsey’s matter was initially heard on Friday to determine if she was eligible for bail.
No bail application was made on Monday following the parole suspension.
Her matter were adjourned to November 10, to be heard alongside Ms Bird’s committal mention.
Ms Bird, of Newtown, also remains in custody.
No plea has been entered by either woman.
