'The Crown' season 5: First look at Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki as Prince Charles and Princess Diana
The Crown has shared the first look at their new Prince Charles and Princess Diana after finally confirming Dominic West in his leading role.
West has been rumoured to be playing the Prince of Wales for the past year, however, Netflix refused to comment on the casting.
But in the new photos, West is seen as Charles, dressed in tweed and looking forlorn as he looks out over his estate.
The actor takes over from Josh O’Connor, who portrayed the younger version of the Prince who struggled with his obligation to crown and country as he fell in love with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Tenet star Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Princess Diana, was also given a first look photograph, looking sad as she lounges on a sofa in the living room.
Debicki was confirmed last year to be taking over from Emma Corrin in the role of the Peoples’ Princess, who sadly died in 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
It is believed that the upcoming episodes of the royal bioseries will feature the death of Diana and its effect on the Royal family.
But first, the couple will have to portray the bitter divorce proceedings between Charles and Diana - with their split first becoming public knowledge in 1992.

Announcing their separation in December that year, the split played out for a further three years, with Diana’s interview with BBC’s Martin Bashir believed as the final ‘trigger’ to ignite the official divorce.
Their intent to officially divorce was announced on 20 December 1995, and their divorce decree was made final and absolute on 26 August 1996.
Diana died a year later, on 31 August 1997.
Season five of the crown will feature a major time jump to factor in the cast change.
Viewers last saw the Royal family at Balmoral in Christmas 1990.

While details on the new series are remaining firmly under wraps, it’s believed the show will pick up in 1992, in what Queen Elizabeth referred to as an ‘annus horribilis’ (horrible year) for the Royals).
That year, three Royal marriages - including Charles and Diana’s - collapsed, and a fire ripped through Windsor Castle.
In a speech marking her 40th year as Queen, she stated: "1992 is not a year on which I shall look back with undiluted pleasure.”
Imelda Staunton will play the final version of the Queen, replacing Olivia Colman, who in turn took over from Claire Foy.
The Crown is available on Netflix.
