Craig Kelly egged at event in Melbourne: 'NAZI LOVER'

United Australia Party leader Craig Kelly has been egged while attending an event at a Melbourne park.

A video posted to social media shows a woman smashing an egg on Mr Kelly's head while he sits with supporters in South Yarra's Fawkner Park.

The woman targeted Mr Kelly ahead of the 2022 federal election and yelled "stop hanging out with Nazis" before repeatedly calling him an "anti-Semite".

The UAP leader can be seen removing eggshells from his hair and throwing them on the ground before he turns to the woman and points his finger at her.

“You’re a disgrace to democracy,” he says, saying she should go to jail.

The woman continued to yell at Mr Kelly, repeating the same words. the persons filming eventually said, "alright, let's go."

Victoria Police released a statement saying they are investigating reports a 58-year-old man was assaulted at about 1.25pm on Friday.

Police believe two women were involved in the egg-smashing incident.

Mr Kelly was uninjured, police say.

Cyclist injured as alleged eggers flee

The drama at Fawkner Park didn’t end with the egging.

The woman fled to a nearby vehicle and a witness followed them and parked his bike in front of the car, police said.

It’s alleged the cyclist was injured when the car the women were travelling in – which was being driven by a male driver – ran over the cyclist’s foot.

The bike rider then gave chase before the vehicle stopped and the driver gave his details to the cyclist.

Officers are yet to identify those involved in the incident.
