'Couldn't believe my eyes': Man's disgusting find in public park
A man has voiced his outrage after finding three needles in a public park in North Queensland.
Adam Genge shared a number of images on Facebook following the shocking discovery in Tom Murray Park in the Cairns suburb of Mount Sheridan.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes, one of the needles was facing up and could easily stab someone just walking,” Mr Genge‘s wrote.
His find has been labelled “scary”, “terrible”, “messed up” and “really disappointing” by those who have seen the post online.
The discovery has also served as a frightening warning for parents and residents in the area.
“We used to always take the kids up there to kick the ball, wont be any more,” a Facebook user commented.
“This is my biggest fear,” one woman wrote.
“So glad you found them before some kid stood on one, good work,” said another.
Mr Genge’s post also caught the eye of metal detectorist Bob Williams.
Mr Williams commented that he visits a lot of parks and said “this is happening all over the place”.
He added that he would make a trip to this particular park and have a look around.
To his dismay he uncovered what appears to be another hypodermic needle, and a couple of needed cases.
“I went to the park as I said I would. This is what I found,” Mr Williams wrote online, along with a picture.
Yahoo7 has attempted to contact both Mr Genge and Mr Williams for more information.
