Cost of living concerns are mounting in Victoria with a new poll showing voters are increasingly favouring the coalition opposition over the Labor government on the issue.
The Ipsos poll published in The Age on Monday shows 27 per cent of Victorians nominated cost of living issues as one of their three greatest worries, behind crime and housing.
Thirty per cent of respondents said the coalition was best equipped to manage cost of living issues, compared with 25 per cent who opted for Labor and 24 per cent who said they didn't know.
The poll comes ahead of the state government budget due to be handed down on Tuesday, ahead of a state election later this year.
The poll of 750 people was taken last week.
