Coronavirus Sydney: All the venues linked to virus outbreak

As Sydney’s coronavirus cluster in the southwest of the city continues to grow, so does the number of venues linked to the outbreak.

There are now at least 20 businesses linked to the cluster centred around the Crossroads Hotel in Casula, which has infected at least 34 people.

Thousands of people are expected to have visited the venues as health authorities scramble to ensure community transmission is reduced to a minimum.

One of the biggest concerns for Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant is that new patients are showing symptoms as early as 24 hours after being infected, meaning the virus can spread rapidly across Sydney.

“It gives you very little time for the contact tracers, because you’ve got to get your cases diagnosed and then you’ve got to lock down those contacts,” Dr Chant said.

While the cluster began in Sydney’s southwest, it has now moved closer to the CBD with confirmed cases either working or visiting locations in the city’s inner west.

On Wednesday evening it was confirmed an employee at Meat Perfection butcher in Milperra had tested positive.

NSW Health has instructed all venues to undergo a deep clean, yet the majority of the businesses are still operating.

Dr Chant is urging those who have visited any of the venues on the specific dates listed below to get tested and isolate if they begin to show any signs of symptoms.
